Why does the coffee at dunkin donuts always taste different than what I make at home?

ronny asked:

I buy there coffee and make it in a Bunn maker. I make it freshly ground. I make it with filtered water. I make it with boiling hot water. I make it with the right amount of ingredients. Nothing works. I think they have a special ingredient there not telling us about. I get frustrated and go back to getting the eight oclock coffee. No difference in the coffee to me and its cheaper.

What type of coffee does the Thai nationals drink?

Rose asked:

Recently I get to know many friends from Thailand. Beside culture and language barrier, I find them very friendly and warm people. But there is one thing, I really like to know what type of coffee do they love to drink?
I have tried the Singapore style using coffee powder and condensed milk , but it is not to their liking. I heard from a friend telling me they prefer 3 in-one coffee or coffee using coffee mate. Or is it that they prefer something mild and less sweet because Singapore coffee is stronger.
Can any Thai national teach me how to make coffee sutiable for their taste? Preferably the brand too. I will try to follow whatever advice given. Appreciate it very much.

Sweetie asked:

I got a coffee maker for Christmas, and although I like coffee, I LOVE lattes, and was wondering what to put in it to make it more milk-like and how much of whatever it is to add to the coffee, etc. I know nothing about coffee makers/coffee so any advice is appreciated. I would like whatever I add in to have no fat and very few calories if possible. THANKS!
how much milk would I add? and when would i add it in?

How do I make the perfect coffee?

bookz4ever asked:

I have a standard 12 cup slow drip coffee maker, and Walmart brand french roast coffee. I don’t like a very strong coffee taste, so how many scoops (tablespoons) of coffee should I put in?

I want to bake chocolate and coffee cupcakes. Can I just take a choc box mix and sub instant coffee for water?

smilesvssmirks asked:

I don’t want a really strong coffee flavor. On the box mix for the chocolate cake it calls for 1 and 1/3 cup water. Couldn’t I just dissolve a bit of instant coffee/espresso powder into the water to give the cupcakes a hint of the coffee flavor and kick? Or would that mess with the chemicals and the way the wet and dry ingredients react together?

How can I get my coffee to taste like a restaurant’s brew?

Veritas asked:

I use Gevalia coffee at home and keep my coffeemaker clean but even when I pour a fresh just-brewed cup it doesn’t equal the flavor and smoothness of restaurant coffee. I also store my coffee in small amounts in an airtight, opaque container to keep it fresh.

What is the secret? Is it true that restaurants use an additive or flavor enhancer in their coffee to reduce the acid?

What roast of coffee is good for turkish coffee?

Agent S asked:

I recently purchased the turkish coffee pot and a bag of the finely ground coffee used for making it. I’m already about to run out of the coffee and I’m wondering what kind of roast I should get. The last coffee I got was actually imported from turkey. Is it necessary to use a blend of coffee that is imported from turkey or is it the way the coffee is made that makes it turkish? Any suggestions from people who know what they are talking about would be helpful.
